The Cuba Street Carnival

This was a day long festival that took place along about a 6x3 block radius! it was so much fun. There was professional makeup, costumes, live music everywhere, local food, local restaurants, booths and just all around fun every where you looked!

The Day

These were dance fighters they were super good.


I couldn't help but take a picture of these 2 cute girls. it reminded me of me and anna when we were little... stripping down to the least and going and playing in water on a hot day no matter where we were.

I got a total kick out of this guy. he is in a skin tight suit with a skeleton design on it, face painted white with black eyes, and to top it off.... rollerblades

These were irish stick fighters :) looked more like dancing to me :)

i finally have internet so i finally have pictures up :) they aren't exactly in order but you can get the gist


This is the first idea i got of wellington.... absolute beauty



here are the people im spending the most time with... theres only one girl missing we seem to not be together when we have cameras. girls on the top are my roommates jordyn, prang, and megan. the boy is a kiwi that has taken me under his wing and introduced me to some very awesome people. no worries not the boy u all think im going to run away with, his name is simon.


this is one of the other USAC guys. On tuesday all the USAC people went down to the beach on a beautiful day... as you can see.

On Saturday i went on a walk to make sure i didnt get jet lag. i think i walked about 15-20 miles that day just to keep myself moving




yes i did manage to hurt my foot. i tripped in heals. it looks a lot worse than it really is. theres a lot of brusing which is good. there was only like a day that i couldnt walk on it... YAY for free healthcare :)


I hope u all enjoied the pictures. I did go to a huge carnival this weekend in town that was a lot like burning man in town. there were costumes and booths and all different kinds of food. it was called the cuba street carnival http://www.cubastcarnival.co.nz/page/home.aspx heres the main webpage ill get my pictures up as soon as possible but they have some much much much better pictures than i do.
