couple weeks of rest and relaxation

Well I have officially turned in all my assignments and now im ready for the study break week, well more like week and a half lol. I have my first exam on june 11 and then the last on june 17th. thank goodness my hardest exam will be my last. but unfortunatelly its also the day my mom arrives. o well. but in the meantime i have started to try and entertain myself by baking :) i fugured since most of the american students are starting to get kinda homesick i would make a little taste of home for them. i have baked cupcakes and a small loaf cake, im working on getting the makings for a bread and jordyn and i have been making cookies like mad and per request of my friend who is in new zealand right now im gunna make i think an apple pie, i would make pumpkin but pumpkin paste is a little hard to come by. I have also started reading again, i have finished virgin suicides (very good) and am in the process of reading angels and demons! so far its a great book, we went and saw the movie as a flat and it was really good but the book is already way different and way better. but i am keeping myself busy and starting the process of selling things and getting ready to move out seeing as though the date i need to be out of the dorms completely is on june 18th im just realizing that i have some major work to do...
well i hope all is well with everyone and id love to hear from all of you :) 530.448.8502 or email at renoshorty@gmail.com love you :)

about 200years ago a man swam to an island from this beach
beautiful sunrise
the meeting point of the tasman sea and the pacific ocean
all of a sudden the skies opened up and it started to rain, luckily the rain stayed over the water
adding in the sun created so many beautiful rainbows
the tree in the distance is the place where your soul walks into the underworld to the land of the souls

looking back after the sun was fully up

the sound of the whirlpools was almost deafening :)

That way to home :D

there were signs saying dont go that way but i really wanted to...

the rainbows

after the sun came up everything just started to glow

our little car. it was such a beast! it made it all the way north and got GREAT gas mileage and mastered some pretty wicked dirt roads
SHEEP!!!

The Bay of Islands

kinda that perfect picture of paradise right???

so we took a little nap in the sun it was so great to see sunlight with no wind for the first time in a while

Jordyn and I drove for a solid 12hrs. she was such a trooper to wanna go and brave this crazy trip with me. we left at 2pm on the 13th from wellington to Auckland and drove from Auckland straight to Cape, got to cape at about 1030pm and crashed in a hostel for 7hrs and got back in the car at 615am and drove the last half an hour to the look out, then at 9am we were back in the car driving back to Auckland. we made a few stops but not for too long because our flight left at 7pm out of Auckland the night of the 14th. we were on the run but we were havin a total blast :) I dont think ther could have been a better birthday
