SURFING!

Well I was really wanting to go to Lyall Bay just to kinda wonder around, maybe go swimming, lay out in the sun but it turned into 7 Americans going to the beach around 9:30

It was a gorgeous morning!
Then we stumbled across a place that hired out wetsuits and boards for 30bucks for 2hrs! we jumped on the idea


Then off we went 6 of us surfing only one knowing what he was doing and one photographer on the beach documenting our surfing experience :)

after a few good falls we took a break to see how much more time we had. we had a whole hour left so we took a break on the beach took some pictures...





... and played with a dead eel we found washed up on the beach



there were quite a few people out in the water but we found a good place to get away and learn

jen and matt were doing the best out of all of us! this is their first time surfing too!!!

This was the Best day I have had in welly! We were talking about it and for 45 bucks nz total thats really cheap for a really fun day. I plan on going again :)
